Laurent is 50 and a partner in an architectural firm specializing in building design. Some of the innovative projects he has worked on have received awards from the Ordre des architectes du Québec. Every year, he welcomes architecture interns to his firm and he takes his mentoring role at heart. He sometimes participates in the magazine’s launch events and when he cannot be there in person, he watches the webcast. He is an avid reader of the Esquisses magazine because it keeps him informed about Québec’s ongoing architectural projects.

Chang is 59 and knows his trade like the back of his hand. He is in charge of monitoring and controlling the compliance to laws and regulations of various work sites. He enjoys the wide variety of topics, the relevance and the innovative character of the stories in Esquisses magazine. He is one of those professionals who never miss a single annual convention. Although he finds technology is moving too fast, he sometimes participates in distance learning and online conferences.

Geneviève has been an architect for 12 years. She is passionate about her trade and manages public projects, from the first drafts until the client takes possession of the work. She heads a team of specialists including engineers in various specialties. She reserves a few hours every week to read her copy of Esquisses magazine. Being very busy, she is disappointed she has not been able to attend the OAQ’s convention in two years, but she has promised herself she would attend the next one, since it is being held in her area. She does, however, attend the OAQ’s distance learning sessions occasionally.
